Woodpeckers - Juvenile great spotted woodpecker

The great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) is the least shy woodpecker that can find larvae and beetles under the bark of pine trees. Young spotted woodpeckers have a red spot on top of their head. This photo has been made in Goois nature reserve near Hilversum in the Netherlands.
