Andasibe - Mossy leaf-tailed gecko Uroplatus sikorae is a species of gecko commonly referred to as the mossy leaf-tailed gecko. This fascinating nocturnal gecko is endemic to Madagascar. It is 15 to 20 centimeters long. This gecko can change its skin color to match its surroundings and possesses dermal flaps which break up its outline when at rest. During daytime it is almost impossible to find this super camouflaged gecko. We found this species during a night walk in the private Mitsinjo Reserve near the Andasibe-Mantadia National Park.
