Kirindy - Fossa (Madagascar)
Kirindy Forest is a wonderful private reserve in western Madgascar with dry deciduous forests and it is home to some very special animals. The fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox) is a cat-like, carnivorous mammal that is closely related to the mongoose family. This strange animals is endemic and the only predator in the Madagascar. The fossa is active during both the day and the night and they hunt small lemurs.
