Landmannalaugar (Iceland)

We left Rekjafik by bus in the direction of Landmannalaugar, the starting point for our trek. At Landmannalaugar (580m) you will find the second biggest geothermal zone of Iceland. The mountains in this area consist of igneous rock rhyolite and are therefore very colourful. We went for a walk and climbed the Bláhnúkur mountain. In the evening we enjoyed the thermal springs close to the huts.
