Monument Valley - Mittens (USA southwest)
The red rock formations of Monument Valley are automatically associated with the Wild West. The landscapes in this Navajo reserve are often used in adverts, TV series and films, especially the western films of director John Ford and actor John Wayne. The three best known buttes are West Mitten, East Mitten en Merrick Butte.
