Galapagos - South Plaza - Sally lightfoot crab (Ecuador & Galápagos)
The grapsus grapsus, sometimes also called sally lightfoot crab, is one of the common crabs on the Galápagos islands. Young crabs are black but adults get red, orange or yellow colors. They live amongst the rocks just above the limit of the sea spray and they primarly feed algae.
