Omangete - Himba men In the North of the city of Opuwo we visit a remote Himba village called Omangete. The Himba are the last semi-nomadic tribe in Namibia. They live in the Kunene/Kaokoland region in northern Namibia near the border with Angola. They are hunters and gatherers and they breed cattle, sheeps and goats but also farm some crops.<br /> <br /> Members of a single family typically live in an igloo-shaped hut called 'onganda'. The small Himba villages have a central enclosure for the livestock that is called 'kraal'. <br /> <br /> The men's main task is herding the livestock.
