Stonehenge (Devon & Cornwall)
Stonehenge is definitely the most famous prehistoric monument in the world. It is located in the county of Wiltshire near the villages of Amesbury and Salisbury. The 30 giant sarsen stones, weigh as much as 50 tons each, are composed in a circular setting. Archaeologists believe that is was constructed anywhere from 2500 BC to 2000 BC in the Neolithic and Bronze Age.
