Mago - Mursi woman with impressive lip plate (Ethiopia)
The lip plate is only worn by women and it is made from clay and inserted into a pierced hole in the lower lip. Some plates have a diameter of 23cm. The lip is pierced around the age of 15 or 18 before a women gets married.
