We stayed 2 days in the city of Bahir Dar near Lake Tana. Lake Tana is the largest lake in Ethiopia, the highest (1800m) lake in Africa and it is the source of the Blue Nile. On the 37 islands in the lake are ancient orthodox churches and monasteries where monks still live. We took a boat to Dek island to visit the Narga Selassie church from the 18th century. The church has beautiful murals.
