Normandy coast and Nieuwpoort - Pier of Nieuwpoort
The breakwater and pier in Nieuwpoort on the Flamish coast. The pier (called Westerstaketsel) has been built in 1865 and is 490m long. At the end there is a signal lantern with a foghorn which looks like miniature lighthouse. It is placed at the river mouth of the IJzer.
