Samburu - Wild dog At sunrise we left for another safari and immediately we encountered a pack of wild dogs. The African wild dog (Lycaon pictus) is a canine which hunts at dusk and dawn in a group which is led by a dominant breeding pair. They are one of the most successful predators of Africa.
