La Selva - Three-toed sloth A three-toed sloth (bradypus) in the jungle of La Selva Biological station in Costa Rica. These sloths have short tails of 6-7 cm and  three clawed toes on each limb. Their body is adapted to hang by their limbs and they move very slow. They move between different trees up to four times a day, although they prefer to keep to a particular type of tree.<br />
