Ulaanbaatar - Gandan monastery (Mongolia)

In the capital Ulaanbaatar/Ulan Bator we visited the beautiful Buddhist Gandan Khiid monastery. The monastery was founded in 1835 by Jabzandamba, the head of Tibetan Buddhism in Mongolia. Nowadays it has around 150 monks in residence.
