Ulaanbaatar - Gandan monastery - Statue (Mongolia)

The monastery features a 26.5-meter-high statue of Migjid Janraisig, a Buddhist bodhisattva also known as Avalokitesvara. This statue has been destroyed by the Russian communists in the ’30s but it has been rebuilt in 1996.
