Halebidu (India south)
Halebidu was the capital of the Hoysala kingdom in the 12th and 13th century. The temple in Halebidu one of best examples of the beautiful Hoysala architecture. The walls of the temple are covered with an endless variety of depictions from Hindu mythology, animals and dancing figures. There are also 2 massive sculptures of the Nandi bull.
