Green woodpeckers

Juvenile green woodpecker and his mother (Picus viridis). This beautiful bird has a loud laugh and seeks its food (ants, worms, larvae, beetles, ...) mainly on the ground. Juveniles have a speckled plumage and the moustachial stripe (black=female, red=male) is less visible.
