Hallstatt - Lock Grub (Austria)

Schloss Grub is located on the eastern shore of Lake Hallstatt near Obertraun in Austria's Salzkammergut. The castle was built in 1522, originally a farm called 'Gut in der Grub'. Between 1864 and 1890, Grub was owned by the Tsarist Ambassador Alexander Cheffkin; because of him, the castle was historically renovated in 1868 and got its romantic appearance
