Soysambu - African buffalos (Kenya)

The African buffalo is the largest hollow-horned ungulate in Africa. They can weigh up to 850kg. These majestic creatures form sizable herds, thriving in both savannahs and forests. It is also one of the big five species. The buffalo is the favorite prey for lions. We were able to spot large herds of buffalos in Soysambu Conservancy near Lake Elementaita.
