Photos Finland north
In June 2006 I went to Finland for a 5-day hiking tour with some friends. The bears trail or Karhunkierros is one of the most beautiful and popular hikes in Finland.
There are free cabins, shelters and fire places at the trail. The trail is 80km long and goes through pine forests , alongside lakes and rivers and small mountains and is situated in the Oulanka National Park. During the hike we undertook a small rafing trip. After the hike we spent a night in an observation cabin near the border of Russia to watch some brown bears.
