Photos Namibia
In October 2010 I travelled with a minibus through the wonderful Namibia in southern Africa. We drove almost 4500km on gravel roads. We went on safari in several wonderful national parks like Waterberg and Etosha. It was the end of the dry season and the wildllife photography in Etosha was excellent because of the high concentrations of animals, also predators, near the waterpools. The Namib desert with its pans and sand dunes was breathtakingly beautiful especially at sunrise and sunset. We also visited a remote Himba village and it was very fascinating to meet this authentic tribe and the learn about their way of life and traditions and to be able to photograph their unique headdresses, bracelets and anklets. The quadbiking and sandboarding in the dunes at the coast was exciting and the hikes through the canyons in Naukluft were also great.
