A freezing cold morning at the castle of Horst in Sint-Pieters-Rode. In the 13th century the knights of Horst built a large farmstead and in the 15th knight Pynnock built the first fortified water castle. Over the centuries the castle was expanded but also partially destroyed. In the 17th century the stables for the carriages were built. The Herita association now ensures the restoration and protection of the cultural heritage.
