Hageland - Supermoon at Abbey of Averbode Rise of the supermoon at the church tower of the abbey of Averbode. On Wednesday 18 September 2024 there was no ordinary full moon, but a supermoon. One to three times a year the moon is relatively closer to the earth than normal. Then it looks 7 percent larger than normal and its light is 16 percent brighter. Rise of the supermoon at the church tower of the abbey of Averbode. On Wednesday 18 September 2024 there was no ordinary full moon, but a supermoon.
