A fire salamander in a large pool of water. This rare land salamander is without a doubt the most imaginative amphibian of our regions, but also the most endangered. The fire salamander is quite large (14-17cm) and has a unique yellow-black drawing. It lives mainly in old oak-beech forests and is actually not a very good swimmer.
