Weyto - Tsemay woman with child We drove further to the Omo Valley, the area around the Omo River and the Mago NP in southern Ethiopia near the border of Kenya and Sudan. This region is home to some 20 ethnic groups such as the Tsemai, Ari, Mursi, Hamer, Surma, Dassanech, Karo, Nyangatom, Banna, Arebore, ... who all have their own traditions, ceremonies and unique body adornments. Scar patterns, body painting, bracelets and anklets, lip plates, ... they are all artistic expressions. <br />
