Thattekad - Chestnut-headed bee-eater (India south)
The Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary near the Periyar river is just a small park but it has the richest bird life in India. In this tropical jungle there are more than 340 species of birds. We saw a lot of chestnut-headed bee-eaters (Merops leschenaulti)
