Thattekad - Malabar grey hornbill (India south)
Southern India is home to 4 species of hornbills. During our trip we saw all 4 of them and the first one was the Malabar grey hornbill (Ocyceros griseus). It is a medium sized hornbill and they live in dense forests and plantions and feed on figs and other forest fruits.
