Jaipur - Amber fort (India)
The impressive Amber/Amjer fort is located 11km outside the city of Jaipur. It was built in 1592 by Raja Jai Singh I and extened by Sawai Jai Singh in red sandstone and marble. The fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture and is situated on a hill overlooking a lake.
