Mantadia - Short-horned chameleon Close-up of a female short-horned chameleon (Calumma brevicorne). Males can become 35 centimeters long, females are a little bit smaller. This species has large ear-like flaps and the males have a kind of horn on their snout. Chameleons are fantastic animals. Each eye can focus independently and they have a 360-degree arc of vision. Many of them can also change the colour of their skin. Colour change happens when communicating, in reactions to temperature changes as well as for camouflaging. Stefan Cruysberghs
