Big Tsingy - Ranotsara Tsingy de Bemaraha in western Madagascar is a remarkable geological phenomena and unique and spectacular national park. The park is an impenetrable labyrinth of needle-shaped limestone formations. The park has two regions; the ‘big/grand’ tsingy and the ‘small/petit’ tsingy. The first day I visited the big tsingy and I hiked the full circuit, a trail of almost 6 hours. I started with a climb to the the viewpoint of Ranotsara, then I walked through the forests in the canyons called ‘broadway’ and climbed and crawled through the cave. I ended with a climb to the spectacular Andamozavaky viewpoint. Stefan Cruysberghs
