Photos Kenya
In August 2013 I travelled 3 weeks through Kenya with a small group. In the Samburu national park we went on safari and spotted many wonderful animals like cheetahs, leopards, lions, wild dogs, jackals, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, monkeys, ostriches, eagles, ...
Then we explored the far north of Kenya with Lake Turkana and we met the Turkana and El Mole tribes. Afterwards we stayed several days with the friendly and fascinating Samburu tribe in the region of Maralal, Kisima and Suguta Marmar. There we witnessed the lmuget ceremonies where young men become warriors (moran) and the older morans become mzee and they are allowed to marry. It was a unique and fantastic experience that is still rarely attended by Westerners. I was able to shoot a lot of wonderful photos of this authentic tribe.
We ended our journey at Lake Naivasha with a lovely walking and boat safari and were we spotted a lot of birds (fish eagles, cormorants, herons, kingfishers, ...).
